Tower And Star embraces serious spiritual subjects, emotional deep dives and mystic moments. But the band revels in classic rock'n'roll elements, catchy pop melodies, ambient sounds & electronic bits, too. Seemingly contradictory elements mesh together and the result is "Mystic Rock".

 

The band formed in 2016 playing art rock and featuring duo female vocals, flute & sax, rehearsing in a dusty basement in Bushwick, Brooklyn and playing local spots in their neighborhood. Since they began working with engineer & producer Tony Maimone in 2018, the music has evolved into dreamy ndie rock that's lush, many layered and evocative, using various woodwind and Electronic Woodwind elements. Every track is a compact spiritual journey- an emotional experience, a trip, or a subtle transmission that's accessible, "Come on in and take a deep dive with us! We'll hold you with our music, our voices, our energies."  The band's mission is giving their listeners a welcoming, true & transformative experience in a world that is often superficial. No judgment, here- that's just what they do.

The 3D stuff: The band's released eight singles & a three track mini album and dropped our newest single, "Abuelo" this past June. All songs are collaborations among multi-instrumentalist Paul Alexandre Meurens, vocalist & lyricist Tanz Donovan and producer Tony Maimone. Their songs are happily engineered & mixed at their long-time home base, Studio G, Brooklyn.
